Chennai Physios march to Secretariat........(back to contents)

Chennai, feb 28: The Tamil nadu Association of physiotherapists marched 
on a procession to meet the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Mr.M.Karunanidhi 
at his office in the Secretariat.

The procession started at 10.00 am at C.L.S Memorial Hall Opp. to Government 
General Hospital and ended at Fort st George.
The Demands included...


1. Increase in the number of Govt. postings.
2. Establishing a Physiotherapy state council.
3. Starting MPT in govt colleges.
4. Regularising the self financing colleges.
5. Eradicating quacks in phyiotherapy.

A huge mass of PTs and students participated in the rally,Being the first 
procession of this kind, we shall wait and see if it really works!!
