10 Nice ways to tell your senior therapist!

YOU ARE WRONG!

(back to contents)

Is there a PT rest room on earth where you dont hear things like....

" His diagnosis wrong, but who tells him"......"Its so obvious,I wish I could tell him straight that he is wrong"......."This treatment is not going to work, Heck, I cant tell that outright to him"........"But what about the ethics of practice,We should say things like this boldly"......."He is to egoistic to listen to us....and the boss is always right!hmm..."

Dont we often wish that we knew nicer ways to handle the situation?here are some...

1.Act surprised

"Sir, isnt it surprising that the signs and symptoms are also similar to that of '-------itis'. Dont you think so, Can you please clear me over that"

2.Blame the patient!

"I feel the patient gave you incomplete details! I found something new when I happened to treat him, God, he mislead us completely"

3.Book technique!

"This book says something new (act if it is not new!!) _____therapy has been proved less effective than---------therapy! and he has given why! I dont know how we missed this!"

4.They do so!

"I heard that in -------- school (invent it yourself !!) they use a different technique, and they claim its very effective why dont we try that, I would luv to experiment it"

5.I Know nothing act!

" Iam sorry, Iam not able to grasp why we should use this treatment, when it acts so superficial, and the other is so deep, Im sure you must be having a good reason, may I know"

6. Im worried act!

"Sir, Im terribly worried that Iam not able to help this patient with our treatment, maybe we should work it over once again, from the assessment.."

7. The Praise him act (if you are not too egoistic)

"Yesterday it was spectacular to see you performing the ----technique! vow!...I need to discuss something to you about a patient we saw today......."

8. The NOTES act

" I was writing notes about that particular case when I found something we missed, ..."

9.Team up !

" Me and ----- had a great arguement yesterday about this diagnosis, I think you are the best person to tell, who is right "

10. The BEST WAY.

Keep your mouth shut!!! (just kidding....)
